A photography hobby focused on landscapes has transformed in my retirement to an interest in portrait and artistic interpretation of the human form. Learning about lighting has been interesting. Classes have helped. Assembling the equipment necessary to provide an adequate portable studio has been fun. Developing a style or signature “look”, if such exists, is challenging.
I am searching for those brave enough to get in front of the camera and allow me to experiment. Patiently sit while I move lights, recompose the scene or try to figure out which strobes are firing or why one or more are not. If that describes you, the reward is your choice of the prints, perhaps even a reasonable modeling fee.
I have ideas I would like to explore, but the process of producing a photo which exceeds the expectations of the subject is the goal.
